Hermana Whitney Plummer
On Aug 11, 2010, in a BYU apartment full of friends and family, Whitney read the words "you have been called to labor in the Paraguay - Asuncion Mission." The surprise, hooting, hollering, shaking, fears, tears of joy and excitement filled the room. Then the peace and calm filled the room. Whitney Elizabeth Plummer has chosen to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 18 months. During Whitney's mission she will be known as Hermana Plummer. Hermana Plummer will report to the Mission Training Center in Provo, UT on Oct. 27, 2010. While in the MTC she will learn how to be a missionary and learn Spanish. She will depart for Asuncion Paraguay on Dec 27, 2010. Our family will be updating her website with emails and pictures. May the Lord bless you and keep you our darling, precious Whitney.

I am so excited Hermana Plummer has chosen to joined the Army of Helaman. Your family will be blessed for your willingness to serve. Our family has been greatly blessed during this short time Elder Davis. I wish I could say give him a hug in his mother's name when you see him! Wish you the best you could ever be and the love for these people who are awaiting to hear your message.

Goodbye my darling Whitney. Everything will be ok. We promised each other we can do this. What an amazing journey of a lifetime this will be for you and our family. Go be the best you can be. The people in Paraguay are waiting for you. See you in 2010. Love you forever and ever... Mama
ReplyDeleteWhitney,
ReplyDeleteI know we haven't been the best at keeping in touch, but I am thinking of you and this amazing mission you will be taking. I'm really proud of you! This trip is going to be such a life-changer.. not only for you but for everyone's lives you touch.
From our make-believe "missions" in your back yard to this truly selfless mission, you are going to have so much fun. I wish you all the strength and luck in the world for your mission so everyday you can strive to achieve your goals.
You get to experience something not many people ever get to do so embrace every moment of it and savor it forever. We're not little girls anymore so here we are, grown up and everything. We get one shot at life, and no one wants to look back and realize they missed out. You will look back at this part of your life and know that you lived a very full youth, giving yourself to the lord. He will guide you as you guide those in South America.
Good luck, Whit. I wish you all the best with all my heart. And I hope you can forgive me for not keeping in touch.
Love,
Taylor
I see I made a mistake on my post - Whitney my darling, precious baby girl - see you April 2012!!!
ReplyDeleteWhitney,
ReplyDeleteWords cannot express how proud I am of you and how blessed I am to call you my sister. Through this mission, you and all the people you encounter will change forever. As you spread the word of our wonderful Lord to many people, you will be enlightened to so many amazing things about this world much of us know so little about. I cannot wait until the day I see your beautiful face again. You are in my prayers every single day. I know you will be such a great missionary. Thank you for being my best friend and sister. God Bless you Whitney Plummer.
~Love Always and Forever,
Margaret Emma
